Smokefree Somerset is your free local stop-smoking service which is provided by Somerset's Public Health team. Our treatment programmes focus on supporting behaviour change. Stop-smoking Practitioners will also advise on the use of licensed stop-smoking medications to ease nicotine withdrawal and may supply these products if appropriate.

What is Light-Touch digital support?

Our Light-Touch service offers free, flexible stop smoking support for smokers aged 18+ who live or work in Somerset.

This programme is designed for people who want to quit smoking without attending regular appointments. It’s simple and easy to access, giving you the tools and support you need to make a quit attempt on your own terms.

Programme includes:

  • A vape starter kit
  • 12 weeks’ supply of e-liquid
  • Motivational text messages to keep you on track
