Smokefree Families
Find out how this specialist service can support you to quit smoking if you are planning a pregnancy, are already pregnant or have just had a baby.

Introduction
What is Smokefree Families
Smokefree Families is our specialist stop‑smoking support before pregnancy, during pregnancy, and up to six months after birth with help for partners and other family members too.
We offer flexible one‑to‑one support at home or by phone, provide medication or vapes where appropriate, and work closely with local maternity teams to keep you and your baby smoke‑free.
What we do
Our trained Stop Smoking Practitioners deliver tailored, one‑to‑one behavioural support through home visits and phone appointments.
Depending on your needs, we can supply licensed stop‑smoking medications or support a swap to vaping within agreed pathways. We use carbon monoxide monitoring and stay connected between appointments to keep you motivated.
Eligible clients may also access incentive vouchers up to £140 to celebrate verified smoke‑free milestones.
Who we support
- People aged 12 and over who want guidance and support to quit nicotine
- Current smokers who are ready to work with a Stop Smoking Practitioner to set a quit date and begin their smoke‑free journey
- Recent ex‑smokers who would like extra support to stay quit and avoid relapse
- Somerset residents, and anyone planning to have their baby in a Somerset hospital
